The Budweiser Clydesdales are a group of  horses used for the promotion of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company.  There are several teams of horses that travel around the United States. They are bread at Grant’s Farm, a farm that was actually owned my U.S. Grant, a famous Civil War General. There are many horses headquartered at the Anheuser-Busch brewery complex in St. Louis, Missouri, and are housed in a historic brick and stained-glass stable built in 1885. There are eight horses used for the beer cart at any one time, but ten horses are on each team to provide alternates for the hitch when needed. These famous Clydesdales are also used in TV adverts for Budweiser beer. You’ve seen them used in Super Bowl ads for many years.

People know these horses and love them as well. They are beautiful and majestic, running free at Grants farm. People from all over the world come to see the Clydesdales. The home of the Budweiser Clydesdale Stables is at Grant’s Farm house. There are approximately 35 mares, stallions and foals, with an average of 15 foals born every year. Anheuser-Busch owns a total of about 250 Clydesdales, kept at various locations throughout the United States, but St. Louis is the true home of the Clydesdale. The have one of the largest herds of Clydesdale horses in the world.
